Philly Grails User Group - Legacy SQL

One of the topics requested late last year was how you can use Grails to map to an existing database. Chariot’s Ken Rimple and Ahsen Jaffer will present a talk on dealing with existing databases in Grails. We’ll outline the following strategies:

• Using GORM and the static mappings keywords to map existing database structure
• Using JPA annotations and hibernate mappings
• Executing Stored Procedures using various mechanisms
• Exploration of gsql

We’ll be using postgresql as our test database, and discussing approaches to dealing with others as well.
