Rod Biresch

Mobile Practice Lead

Rod Biresch leads Chariot’s Mobile Practice, with responsibility for growing the mobile application development core capability through technical leadership, mentoring, sales support and recruiting. In his previous senior consulting role with Chariot, his focus was solely on working with clients to lead, design and develop world-class mobile applications. That work continues today with expertise in Kotlin and the Android platform.

Rod’s skills, experience and practical knowledge are a result of over 25 years of hands-on consulting at various levels in an organization. He believes that the most successful mobile app development teams have a balance between technical skills, lean process and practical knowledge. Rod joined Chariot in 2005 with a focus on Java-based web apps and back-end integration projects. In 2012, he first started developing on mobile with Android Jelly Bean.

Prior to Chariot, Rod has worked for a number of consulting firms including Unisys, The Western Design Center, Cross Current and Visalign. He serves on the Advisory Board at The Western Design Center and a contributing author and editor for raywenderlich.com. Rod holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer and Information Sciences from Temple University.

Outside of his technical world, Rod is an avid golfer, loves to travel and is always interested in intellectual conversations.
