For this effort, the team delivered iPhone, iPad, and Android applications for LifeShield, a rapidly growing home security company. The mobile applications were built to interface to the LifeShield home security system.
For iOS (iPhone and iPad), Chariot delivered a complete app that is continuously released to the App Store once features are completed, tested and approved.
When the project began, LifeShield’s goal was to enhance the design and experience of their current application, while also building an architecture that would scale for future product offerings in video and home automation. The Chariot team was able to meet these requirements and became the iOS development team that worked with Product Management to help define, prioritize, and implement both iPad and iPhone applications.
For Android, Chariot consultants played an integral part on Lifeshield’s team, mentoring their developers along the way. Amongst the team’s accomplishments was the redesign of the client’s ‘heartbeat’ animation to work properly, regardless of device size / dimensions, while considerably reducing the memory consumed by the animation. The team has also supported LifeShield in the improvement of their agile processes, their Android toolset and the move to test driven development.
