Richard Feldman: Preview of the Roc Programming Language

Overview

Richard Feldman will be giving an exclusive talk at Chariot Solutions. Richard is the author of Elm in Action, and, most recently, is working towards the initial release of his first programming language: Roc. He’s been a veteran speaker and a fan favorite at our annual developer conference, Philly ETE, for three years now (you can browse his talks from 2019, 2020, and 2021), and we’re excited to welcome him back on our virtual stage.

Talk Abstract

Roc is a new purely functional programming language built for speed and ergonomics. It’s still a work in progress, but it’s far enough along to be ready for an introductory tutorial and demo of how the language feels to use. This talk will cover building a basic application in Roc, with explanations along the way for syntax, semantics, and the novel aspects of Roc that no other known language supports!

Curious to see what you could do with this bleeding-edge language? This is the talk for you!
