Overview
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) has always been an opinionated field. Do you use HCL or just write raw CloudFormation templates? Maybe you get through the day writing SAM templates. What if there was an easier way? What if there was a way to write your infrastructure alongside your application in the same language?
One deployment pipeline, all based in CloudFormation so it can utilize the native AWS roll back and drift management. In this session, we’ll be looking at how to build stacks using the AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK). We’ll go over some code samples, how it distills down to CloudFormation, and how to build re-usable constructs to iterate quickly. In addition, we’ll also be exploring Projen, a, “batteries-included” project orchestrator and toolset.
