Abstract

Learn about the global impact that software and technology is having in agriculture to help farmers run stronger businesses and steward the land for generations to come by unlocking improvements in profitability, efficiency and sustainability that are only possible through software & data analytics.

In this talk we’ll cover the challenges faced by farmers and how technology is being applied to solve these challenges. Hear about how we use AWS Lambda, Step Functions and other serverless technologies to predict outcomes, optimize decision making, and perform analysis via massively parallel on demand compute pipelines.

About Gary Rudolph

Gary Rudolph is SVP Product Development at Granular, and in this role, Gary oversees product, design, engineering and data science teams across several products and platforms. He is responsible for establishing the product vision and execution across the organization and the digital platform. Prior to joining Granular, Gary led technology, overseeing all product, engineering and data science teams, at Premise Data launching a mobile, gig-sourced data collection and tasking platform.

He holds two patents. The first patent is a data analytics model and process to evaluate the quality, productivity, and complexity in software produced by engineers directly from code repositories. The second established an engine and publishing system for a mobile, event-based decision tree combined with video content. Gary holds a BS in Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MS in Systems Architecture from USC.

About Bryce Hemme
