Abstract
In a world…. Where teams are distributed, asynchronous, and working across cultural and language differences, one tool emerges to save us all from off-hours meetings…
Although this sounds like an ad for a new SaaS product that will be like all the others, it’s actually about something you all can do right now – documentation. Documentation is your asynchronous superpower, your prosthetic memory, your records.
We have tried to automate it, tried to do without it, and tried to hire other people to do it, but when it comes down to it, many of us have to document our own systems, using the tools and time we already have available.
This talk is about where to start documenting, how to focus on the essentials, and how to get to good enough.
