Abstract

What exactly is a Neural Network? How do you go from experimenting with a deep learning model in the notebook of your choice to deploying your model to production? What is the secret sauce to a successful feature or platform that utilizes “AI” to accomplish the business goals or needs of your platform? And more importantly, how is engineering always the last thing that’s mentioned when the topic of AI is discussed?

Those questions and more are what we will dive into at this talk. From the key tenants needed to scale your model from dev to production (data, workflow engines, metrics, etc). To understanding what a neural network really is.

Building AI models is interesting, but building the engineering platform that facilitates training, evaluating and deploying these models is what really makes utilizing these models successful.
